Our Approach

Your child will be taught within the school’s Foundation Stage curriculum, which is based on the recommended Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and carefully designed to incorporate the five core areas of the Montessori curriculum:

Our Nursery classes cover a range of subjects, including Literacy, Numeracy, Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Creative Development, and Physical Development. 

Each classroom is equipped with learning corners designed to enhance different areas of learning, such as reading, art, block play, nature exploration, home play, and more.

Co-Curricular Activities

Admission Overview

Choosing the right school is one of the most meaningful decisions a parent can make. At JNISSI School, our admissions process is warm, transparent, and family-focused  designed to help you experience who we are and how we raise confident, responsible, and God-centered Leaders.

Admission is determined by the Head Teacher, who meets with families by appointment. Every prospective Leader participates in age-appropriate assessments and an informal interview to ensure readiness for our academic and leadership programs.

STEP 2: Admission Requirements

To begin your application, please submit the following documents:

  • Birth certificate of the child
  • Two (2) recent passport photographs
  • Data page of international passport (for foreign applicants)
  • Child’s immunization card
  • Report and transfer documents from previous school (if applicable)

Admission forms are obtainable from the school office and come attached to the school prospectus. All forms must be duly completed and submitted with supporting documents.

STEP 3:

Assessment & Interview

Every Leader is unique and we celebrate that at JNISSI.

Younger Leaders (Creche & Nursery) engage in play-based and creative activities such as drawing, sorting, picture identification, and interactive games.

Older Leaders (Primary) participate in basic written assessments in literacy, numeracy, and science.

Our teachers also observe character traits such as communication, cooperation, and attentiveness; hallmarks of true leadership.

All of our dedicated staff work together to plan lessons and activities in order to incorporate a combination of real-life scenarios, play experiences, problem solving opportunities and book work.

We operate an elementary Christian school where we integrate the British and the Nigerian curricula.

Our curriculum recognises the three domains of learning viz: Cognitive, Affective and Psycho-motor skills. 

School resumes at 7.00am and closes at 5.30pm. Mondays-Fridays.
